Wow, two journals in one week...... I must be really unlucky.

You know that saying? The one that goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Welp..... I should had listen. Late last night I got one of those randome messages to update my computer.(You know, the one that pops up on the bottom of the screen? Says "Computer is ready to install updates. Click here.") Now... I know from exeprience these "updates" are either useful for future computer use, cause you need them, or.... can seriously screw you over. Well this one.... screwed me, big time. After it did what it did, I could no longer turn on my computer. So my cousin (who is currently visitng) did the dreaded thing. he used..... DA SYSTEM RECOVERY. Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuun!


Little History time:

Now I had a past run in with the system recovery. It is a nasty thing that basiclly sets the computer to square one. In other words, it reverts the computer back to its basics, as if it was brand new and just bought from the store. Which means you risk losing a massive amount of data. When I had first used the system recovery it was by complete accident.... so I ended up losing Norton Antivirus, Horizons (as it was called back then) and the INTERNET! Since it was a complete accident, needless to say I freaked out and since then have never forgotten the incident.

This time around..... I lost Norton (again....sigh) Horizons/Istaria( agin...... ughh.... SIGH) and something worst..... far worst. I lost..... everything. My documents..... my pictures.... my videos..... my favorites. All gone. Forever.

I still had the internet this time around. I just finish getting Norton. I don't have Istaria yet... but I will be trying to download it (the 3 hours it takes to download is something I am not looking foreward to). But as I sit here thinking about the stuff I lost.... I am almost close to tears.

I am going to go back to retrieving what I can now. Then maybe crawling to a corner and cry a bit.

Moral of story
1) Always back up your data
2) Never update your computer
3) Life SUCKS
